In the scenic Apanica Illamapique mountain range of Salvador, in the heart of one of the finest specialty coffee-producing regions in Central America, you will find the Alvaro family farm, which has been in the coffee-growing business for a century.
60% of the coffee cherry trees there grow slowly in the shade and age less quickly, which helps the coffee cherries to ripen evenly. It also contributes to intensifying the natural sugars of the coffee and enhancing its aromas, making it taste great after the roasting process.
